Activities

At 95th Street School, students are encouraged to participate in a variety of extracurricular activities. The school offers athletic and enrichment opportunities to suit the unique interests of the children.

Athletics

Students at 95th Street School can join our after-school sports teams. All teams are co-ed, and the following sports are offered throughout the school year:

  • Basketball: Grades 1–5
  • Cheerleading: Grades 1–5
  • Flag Football: Grades 1–5
  • Soccer: Grades 1–5
  • Volleyball: Grades 3–5

Comic Book Club (Grades 2–5)

In Comic Book Club, students develop their own stories while strengthening their creative writing and artistic skills. The club meets during school hours and is open to second through fifth graders.

Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run inspires students of all abilities to explore their emotions, cultivate empathy, and strengthen their physical health. Girls experience a sense of belonging and connection as a team as a volunteer coach leads them through fun, powerful lessons. At the end of the season, all team members run a 5K together.

Student Council (Grades 4–5)

Student Council is a leadership opportunity for fourth and fifth graders who want to make a positive impact at 95th Street School. Members meet every month to address issues, promote student voice, and find ways to improve our community. Through Student Council, students learn about teamwork, responsibility, community service, and more. It’s a great way to share ideas and help make our school even better!

Other Activities

We welcome new clubs and teams, and we are always looking for additional volunteers to support these offerings for our students. Please contact Parent Coordinator Jaleesa Nicholas at [email protected] to learn more about leading an extracurricular activity.
