Educators design social and emotional lessons and activities that transform our classrooms into multicultural, trust-based learning communities. Children from K4-5 belong to a global community of students learning new ways to think about the world—and their place in it—through the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP).
The globally relevant PYP curriculum instills confidence and curiosity in students of all backgrounds and abilities. AAL teachers and families work together to discover a child’s unique learning style and strengths. Our educators adjust lesson plans and projects to support English learners and students with individualized education plans.
No two students learn in the same way, but they do learn from each other in classes like art, Spanish, music, and physical education. Diverse perspectives, cultures, and creative self-expression enrich our school and change lives. Students who become internationally minded, independent thinkers at a young age tend to think that way for life. Students who complete fifth grade at AAL can continue their IB studies in a Middle Years Programme (MYP) at an IB-authorized school.
After School Program
Milwaukee Recreation hosts Camp Academy of Accelerated Learning, providing fully supervised after-school programming that brings academic support, enrichment, and recreational opportunities to K4-5 children. Camp AAL has a summer camp for our students and the community during the summer months. Camp AAL is now enrolling!
