Students can grow as artists and athletes, gardeners and problem-solvers when they join extracurricular clubs and teams at the Academy of Accelerated Learning (AAL).
Parents and caregivers, please join us in encouraging your child’s participation. Some clubs meet during the school day. Our AAL Bears athletes gather after school and may participate in weekend games and events.
Ask our parent coordinator or a classroom teacher for sign-up and schedule information.
Art Club
Fourth and fifth graders work with our art teacher on projects to develop artistic techniques and build on concepts they learn about in class. Weaving projects and decorating a tree for downtown Milwaukee’s Holiday Lights Festival are just two examples.
Athletics
The AAL Bears compete in coed basketball and soccer, run through Milwaukee Recreation.
Green Team
Fourth and fifth graders work with our art teacher to tend our school gardens during recess.
Recorder
Fourth and fifth graders learn to perform the recorder and share their talents during AAL’s spring recital and holiday concert.
Traveling Music Program
Students can learn a string instrument or piano during weekly small-group music lessons during the school day.
Vocal Choir
Fourth and fifth graders raise their voices, learn new songs, and harmonize for audiences at AAL’s spring recital, holiday concert, and other events.
