Volunteers generously donate their time and talents to achieve great things for AAL students and families, and we are always seeking new volunteers and board officers. Every volunteer hour that parents and family members can contribute makes an impact.

PTA participation benefits AAL in many ways, including:

• Encouraging parents to be actively involved in their child’s education,
• Fundraising and planning celebrations and traditions to bring families together and acknowledge students’ accomplishments,
• Keeping families informed of school events and news.

Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month in the Library Media Center. All are welcome, including students.

Annual membership is $10 per family. Your $10 helps support National PTA, Wisconsin PTA, and events and opportunities at AAL.

Events

Our PTA sponsors events and activities throughout the school year. Help us coordinate pen-and-photo keepsakes for AAL fifth graders. Join us for Books for Bingo, family painting night, and other celebrations that keep our AAL community connected.

August Meet and Greet

Welcome to AAL! Parents, guardians, and students can join us for a refreshing popsicle on the tot lot as we make new friends and get motivated for the school year ahead.

Scholastic Book Fairs

Every September and spring, AAL’s Scholastic Book Fairs promote reading by giving parents and students access to high-quality books at reasonable prices. We use proceeds to purchase a book for every student during the holiday season.

Fall Harvest Dance

Every October, the Fall Harvest Dance brings families together on the dance floor. Crafts, a sensory room for quiet moments, and (optional) costumes can enhance fun for everyone.

Gifts for Winter Break

The AAL PTA provides special gifts just before winter break to spark creativity and remind students we’re thinking of them during the holidays.

Teacher Appreciation Luncheon

May is Teacher Appreciation Month, a time to honor AAL staff for their hard work with a lovingly prepared luncheon and gifts.

Carnival

As the school year concludes, we organize a lively carnival filled with games, prizes, food, and entertainment, creating joyful memories for students and families.
