As the principal of Academy of Accelerated Learning (AAL), I\u2019m excited to welcome you to Wisconsin\u2019s first public International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. Since 2011, our internationally recognized curriculum and diverse family population has helped students develop a global perspective. Caring educators and involved parents create a neighborhood-school atmosphere. It\u2019s the best of both worlds for our K4-5 students. We\u2019re glad you\u2019re here. <\/p>\n
I\u2019ve been in the principal\u2019s office at AAL for 14 years. I\u2019ve been in the building much longer. I attended this school myself, then moved on to Hamilton High School. Education is a lifelong passion and family tradition. My mother taught in Milwaukee Public Schools and my daughter is now a music educator at Reagan High School. <\/p>\n
I began my MPS career teaching sixth grade, thirty years ago. After seven years in the classroom, I earned a master\u2019s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and began working in administration. <\/p>\n
