ALBA is a bilingual school designed to serve students whose first language is Spanish.
All students, regardless of first language or disability, are enrolled in the school’s bilingual Spanish/English program. Please note that ALBA does not provide transportation for any students, except as a related service if required in a student’s IEP.
In accordance with Charter School Law, Wis. Stat.118.40(3)g2., ALBA gives preference for enrollment to:
- Students who were enrolled at ALBA in the previous school year
- Siblings of current students
- Children of the school’s founders, governing board members, or full-time employees (limited to no more than 10% of the school’s total enrollment)
Applying to ALBA
Families of students in all grades must apply during MPS’s Kindergarten Enrollment period. If more students apply than seats are available, a lottery will be held. Families will be notified in the spring if they’ve been accepted or put on the waitlist.
