Academia de Lenguaje y Bellas Artes (ALBA) teachers carefully integrate Common Core Standards within the internationally focused PYP framework. Students build a knowledge base and skillset, backed by Common Core Standards, that prepares them for middle and high school.
Programme of Inquiry
The PYP programme of inquiry is a school-wide learning map connecting IB learner profile attributes, Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills, transdisciplinary themes, and specified concepts to lessons and projects in all subjects. Students learn new material, build research and communication skills, and develop IB attributes like “knowledgeable” and “reflective.”
ALBA educators design a programme of inquiry that balances structured lessons and hands-on projects with time for independent study. Students are encouraged to ask questions, find answers, and engage in research that inspires a lifelong love for learning.
