Principal’s Message

Dear ALBA Students, Families, and Community,

It is with great excitement and deep gratitude that I write to introduce myself as the new Principal of Academia de Lenguaje y Bellas Artes (ALBA) for the 2025–26 school year. I am truly honored to join this vibrant learning community that is rooted in bilingualism, IB education, the arts, and the celebration of Latino culture.

My commitment to bilingual education began in my own childhood. I was born in Tampico, Mexico, and came to the United States as an infant. Growing up in this city shaped who I am, and I carry that personal and professional passion with me to ALBA. Throughout my career with Milwaukee Public Schools, I have taught bilingual English classes at Pulaski High School, helped develop their bilingual program, and subsequently worked at the MPS Central Office, supporting bilingual initiatives district-wide. Most recently, I served as Principal at Starms Early Childhood and Discovery Learning Centers, where I had the joy of leading with empathy and innovation.

ALBA’s mission—to honor cultural identity, empower students through the arts, and support high academic achievement in two languages—resonates deeply with me. I am excited to build strong relationships with our dedicated staff, talented students, and engaged families. Together, I am confident that we can continue to build on ALBA’s legacy of excellence.

Thank you for welcoming me into the ALBA family. I look forward to learning with you, listening to you, and leading beside you. Let’s continue to lift up our community and make ALBA shine!

With gratitude,

Regina Navejar
Principal
Academia de Lenguaje y Bellas Artes (ALBA)
