Through forensics, students develop presentation and research skills that prepare them for lifelong participation in a democratic society. They grow as public speakers, solo performers, and teammates.<\/p>\n<h3>Fiserv Future Techies<\/h3>\n<p>Students explore finance and technology careers and learn how technology helps solve real-world problems. Students gain knowledge and build skills as they work with industry professionals in Fiserv\u2019s Fintech community.<\/p>\n<h3>Future City<\/h3>\n<p>The question is, \u201cHow can we make the world a better place?\u201d Students develop engineering design and project management skills through hands-on cross-curricular projects that challenge them to research, refine, and present their answers.<\/p>\n<h3>Girls of Color (GOC)<\/h3>\n<p>The GOC program creates true collaborative partnerships with school sites that demonstrate a true commitment, capacity, and structure to elevate, enhance and\/or improve how they support girls of color.\u202f\u202fGOC meets during the school day and is supported by the MPS Department of Gender &amp; Identity Inclusion.<\/p>\n<h3>Gender Sexuality Alliance (GSA)<\/h3>\n<p>GSA clubs promote and encourage inclusion, awareness, and advocacy for LGBTQ+ students and allies. Audubon\u2019s GSA is led by students, supported by a school advisor, and is a safe space for all LGBTQ+ students and allies.\u00a0GSAs are supported by the MPS Department of Gender &amp; Identity Inclusion.<\/p>\n<h3>Student Council<\/h3>\n<p>Respected student leaders help administrators build and brighten our school culture. Students make recommendations to design and adjust strategies and incentives that support our school-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports framework. Traditional and emerging student leaders from all grades are welcome. Members may be elected by peers or nominated by staff.<\/p>\n<h3>Tech Team<\/h3>\n<p>Tech Team students learn coding, graphic design, video production, and more. They apply their developing technological skills to help classmates and teachers solve simple technology problems during class. Student-centered publications encourage student voice and leadership in the school community.<\/p>\n<h3>Yearbook Club<\/h3>\n<p>Highly motivated and organized students meet weekly, photograph Audubon events throughout the year, and learn layout and design skills to create the official, annual Audubon yearbook.<\/p>\n<h3>FIRST Robotics Team<\/h3>\n<p>Students design, assemble, and test a 120-pound robot capable of performing a task in competition with other teams. Skill- and robot-building exercises include electronics, programming, animation, CAD, website design, mechanics, and business. Members network with engineers and other professionals.<\/p>\n<h3>Future City High School<\/h3>\n<p>Students sharpen their communication, engineering, and project-management skills in Future City STEM competitions. They research issues affecting global society, write essays, and design a digital model showcasing sustainable solutions to real-world\u202fchallenges. In the youth leaders\u2019 own words: \u201cThe future is young, Black, Brown, and LIT!\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Principal\u2019s Advisory Council<\/h3>\n<p>Student leaders meet monthly with Audubon\u2019s principal to review school attendance and behavior data.
