Three distinct Career Pathway programs bring Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) classes right to Tech. Pathways courses are taught by Tech teachers and are aligned with State of Wisconsin Career and Technical Education (CTE) standards.
Bradley Tech Pathway students can:
- Choose one of three pathways: Advanced Manufacturing, Construction, or Information Technology.
- Take three years of MATC courses at Bradley Tech. Advanced pathway students can complete their fourth year at MATC.
- Accumulate 12 or more college credits.
- Develop advanced technical and trade skills and knowledge that is in demand among today’s employers and admissions officers — and aligns with a student’s interests and abilities.
- Participate in work-based learning opportunities, such as internships and apprenticeships, to learn all aspects of a business or industry.
Advanced Manufacturing Pathway
Advanced Manufacturing students may be visual artists, builders, environmentalists, or student government representatives. They learn introductory mechanical drawing and technical drafting, and how to use sophisticated welding, milling, and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines. Engineering and manufacturing skills are an asset in any industry, from automotive and aircraft design to creating control devices and processes that maximize efficiency and sustainability in construction, manufacturing, and transportation.
Advanced Manufacturing Pathway students take courses like: Project Lead The Way: Intro to Engineering & Design, Machining Processes I, Project Lead The Way: Computer Integrated Manufacturing, and Computer Assisted Design.
Students can continue their pathway studies after graduation in these MATC programs:
- MATC Mechanical and Computer Drafting Technical Diploma
- MATC Machine Tool Operations Technical Diploma
- MATC Welding Technical Diploma
Construction Pathway
Construction careers span the carpentry, electrical, masonry, and plumbing trades, from a structure’s initial design phase through planning, project management, and construction. Once a structure is completed, skilled professionals are needed to maintain high standards of operation, safety, and efficiency for a building or development. Construction Pathway students take courses like: Construction Processes I and II, Construction Trade Skills, Project Lead The Way: Civil Engineering & Architecture.
Students can continue their pathway studies after high school graduation in these MATC programs:
- MATC Bricklaying Technical Diploma
- MATC Carpentry Technical Diploma
- MATC Electricity Technical Diploma
- MATC Preparatory Plumbing Technical Diploma
Information Technology Pathway
Information Technology students explore digital content creation and publication, and many bring creative or communication skills to their pathway studies: music performance, journalism, film, graphic arts, and photography. Information Technology Pathway students take courses like: Intro Multimedia, Web Design I, DE Entrepreneurship Concepts, and Multimedia Photo & Video.
