A powerful partnership between our school and Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC), pathways programming brings MATC courses to Bradley Tech students who are interested in advanced manufacturing, construction, or information technology careers. Students enrolled in these dual high school\/technical school courses learn to use advanced tools and technologies, develop trade knowledge and technical skills, and begin building their professional network on the Bradley Tech campus. Each pathway is aligned to Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Career and Technical Education standards.<\/p>\n

Professionals in the construction, information technology, or manufacturing fields are welcome to join the Bradley Tech Advisory Board as individual members or as representatives of corporations, small to mid-size businesses, or nonprofit or educational organizations working in these areas.<\/p>\n

Benefits<\/h2>\n

Bradley Tech Advisory Board membership makes the most of your career experiences and knowledge, or your organization\u2019s expertise. Board meetings are held every two months, and members are invited to two open house events each year. As a member, you\u2019re invited to contribute based on your time, resources, and expertise, in addition to attending board meetings.<\/p>\n

Apprenticeships\/Internships<\/h2>\n

Work with an inspiring student and prepare them for a semester- or year-long apprenticeship or internship during their senior year.<\/p>\n

Classroom Presentations<\/h2>\n

Introduce a workplace skill by visiting a shop class to present a topic or lesson. A Tech educator can help you develop a lesson outline and plan.<\/p>\n

Curriculum Alignment<\/h2>\n

Review and make recommendations for the learning curriculum for our shop classes. Meet with instructors during advisory board meetings or professional development events.<\/p>\n

Donations<\/h2>\n

Materials, equipment, and consumables that can be used in our shop classes are always welcome.<\/p>\n

Event Sponsorship<\/h2>\n

Sponsor student(s) attendance at an industry trade show. Work with our staff to co-host an event at Bradley Tech, like a Cyber Security Day or Digital Arts Gallery Night.<\/p>\n

Job Shadowing<\/h2>\n

Invite one to three students to visit your workplace to observe and interview pathways professionals during a three-hour job shadowing session.<\/p>\n

Product\/Entrepreneurship Partnerships<\/h2>\n

Work with our shop class to design, produce, and promote a product made right here at Bradley Tech.<\/p>\n

Site Visits<\/h2>\n

Open your office\/shop for a tour and demonstrate specialty skills and equipment used in your workplace.<\/p>\n

Train an Instructor<\/h2>\n

Invite a member of our technical faculty into your shop and introduce them to a workplace skill they can bring back to Bradley Tech classrooms.<\/p>\n

Workplace Readiness<\/h2>\n

Meet with small groups of students during the school day and prep them on interview techniques, resume writing, and skills necessary for entry-level employment in advanced manufacturing, construction, or information technology.<\/p>\n

Join the Bradley Tech and\/or a MATC\u00a0advisory board and help\u00a0serve our students and their search for exciting and rewarding careers.<\/p>\r\nThe mission of the Bradley Tech advisory board\u00a0is to provide expertise, resources, and strong partnerships to ensure that students are exposed to a wide range of career exploration opportunities, access the highest level of job training experiences, and finish with higher education and workplace readiness skills. Our partners and advisory board members work directly with Bradley Tech and MATC\u00a0staff and students, strengthening our direction and focusing on the alignment to post-secondary education programs and career pathways.\r\n\r\nGetting involved is easy.
