The Browning School Safe Place provides after-school childcare and enrichment activities to K4 through fifth-grade students at Browning.
Open from 2:20 to 6:00 p.m. on school days, the program provides structure and supervision by following a 1:15 staff: child ratio. The Safe Place supports Browning student-achievement and learning goals by offering enrichment activities that prepare youth for high-school, college, and career success.

Costs
Milwaukee Public Schools Safe Places charge a nominal program fee, and most Safe Place programs accept Wisconsin Shares childcare subsidies. The inability to pay fees or to receive Wisconsin Shares authorization cannot be a barrier to participation for students.

Registration and Information
Parents/guardians can complete Safe Place Youth Participant Registration and Emergency & Health History forms in advance, or get copies on-site. Completed forms must be submitted to the Browning School Safe Place. Additional forms may be required as part of the registration process.
