Congratulations, Michael Tempesta!
Congratulations to Burdick eighth-grade student Michael Tempesta for winning the 40th annual Martin Luther King Jr essay contest. This year’s theme came from the words King penned in a Birmingham jail, “What affects one…..affects all.” Michael’s response to the theme was extraordinarily well-thought-out and well-written. Michael will be presenting his essay on January 15 at the Marcus Performing Arts Center. Burdick is proud of you!
Congratulations also go to Luqman Hassan, Anika Akin, and Nayeli Rueda Casas who also had very thoughtful and well-written essays submitted.
