Parent Portal Access
Keeping our families informed is a high priority at Burdick School. An effective way to do that is by signing up for a parent portal account.
Here’s what to do: Contact Burdick School’s main office to sign up for a
Campus Parent Portal account. One of our school secretaries will ask you some questions to verify your identity and your relationship to the child. The secretary will provide you with an activation key for signing up. Once you have registered, you can access the Campus Parent Portal online at mpsmke.com/parent portal or through an Infinite Campus mobile application. The Campus Parent Portal allows 24-hour access to view your child’s:
Drop-Off and Pick-up Procedures
To ensure the safety and smooth flow of our students during arrival and dismissal, we have established specific drop-off and pick-up procedures. We kindly ask all families to follow these guidelines to help create a safe and efficient process for everyone. Please review the attached document which outlines specific details including designated areas and times for drop-off and pick-up, and adhere to the instructions of our staff members who will be on-site to assist. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated, and together, we can ensure a safe and welcoming environment for our students.

Fall Sports registration is currently open. Current sports offerings include:

We are currently on the MKE Youth Sports Recreation Department’s waitlist for volleyball and football and will move forward with organizing a team if a spot becomes available.In the meantime, students who are interested in participating in a Fall sport should return a “Player Interest Form” to our new sports coordinator Mr. Williams by Monday, September 9.
We cannot guarantee a team spot will be available but will do our best to make it happen for the kids! Volunteer coaches needed for Cross Country, 4-5 Coed Volleyball, 4-5 Coed Flag Football and 6-8 Coed Flag Football. If you are interested in coaching, please indicate so on the Player Interest Form and Mr. Williams will reach out to you.
Family Engagement
At Burdick School, we believe that family engagement is key to the success of our students. We are committed to building strong partnerships with our families and creating opportunities for you to be involved in your child’s education. Whether through volunteering, participating in school events, or joining a Family-led Group, your involvement makes a difference! School Engagement Council Survey
We are in the process of scheduling our School Engagement Council meetings for the 2024-2025 school year and would love your input. Please let us know your preferred time for these meetings by completing the following survey:

At this time, our first SEC meeting is scheduled to take place in-person on Tuesday, September 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the library. We will discuss the results of this
survey and schedule future meetings based on the data we receive.
Spirit Wear
Show your school spirit and purchase some Burdick gear! The Burdick Spirit Wear online store will be open from September 16-September 27. A link to the online store will be emailed and posted on the Burdick website on September 16th. All orders will be ready to pick up at Burdick approximately 5-6 weeks after September 27. High School Enrollment Meeting
7th and 8th grade families are invited and encouraged to attend Burdick’s High School Enrollment meeting on Tuesday, October 1 at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. We will go over important information including the enrollment process and MPS high school admission criteria which focus on the 7th and 8th grade years. Attendance
Regular attendance is essential for your child’s success in school. Consistent attendance helps students keep up with their coursework, reduces the risk of falling behind, and builds positive habits and relationships that will benefit them throughout their educational journey and beyond.
We understand that unexpected absences and tardies will happen from time to time. If your student will be absent from school, please contact Burdick’s main office at (414) 294-1288 as soon as possible. More information about student attendance can be found on page 13 in the MPS

School-Community Partnership for Mental Health
Did you know that Burdick School offers free mental health services to our students? We partner with Mental Health America to provide counseling to students who are in need of extra support. Check out the
