Staff Spotlight
At Burdick, we’re fortunate to have a dedicated team working behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly, and Mr. DaShaun, our engineer, is a shining example of that. With a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic, Mr. DeShaun keeps our school spotless and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors alike.
No task is too big or small for Mr. DaShaun. Whether it’s preparing classrooms, making sure hallways are tidy, or handling last-minute emergencies with a calm and positive attitude, he’s always ready to lend a hand. His dedication goes beyond just cleaning – he’s committed to making Burdick a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for everyone.
When he’s not busy making our school shine, Mr. DaShaun can often be found sharing a friendly smile or a quick chat with students and staff, reminding us all that a great engineer doesn’t just maintain a building – they help build a community.
Thank you, Mr. DaShaun, for all that you do! Mr. DaShaun had some fun answers to our questions. Check them out below!
  1. How long have you worked at Burdick?  I’ve worked here for almost six months.
  2. What was your favorite school subject when you were a kid, and do you still love it today?  My favorite subject was math and social studies.
  3. If the school had a theme song that played every morning, what song would you choose?  “I can” by Nas
  4. What’s your favorite school tradition or event, and why is it special to you? The staff vs. students volleyball game. I love the friendly competition
