🌟 Staff Spotlight: Ms. Iryna 🌟
This week, we’re celebrating Ms. Iryna, a dedicated para at Burdick whose creativity and patience make a lasting impact on our students. She has supported students from K4 through 8th grade, always bringing a calm and thoughtful approach to her work. Her quiet nature is one of her greatest strengths, allowing her to connect with students in a supportive and encouraging way. ✨
Ms. Iryna goes above and beyond by leading 3rd-grade intervention groups, which she plans entirely on her own. She makes learning fun by creating engaging math games 🎲➕ that help students build confidence and skills. She also shares her artistic talents by teaching students how to make beautiful origami flowers 🌸, inspiring creativity and focus.
We are so grateful for everything Ms. Iryna brings to our Burdick community—thank you for all you do Ms. Iryna! We love you! 💙👏
  1. How long have you worked at Burdick? This is my 10th year at Burdick.
  2. What was your favorite school subject when you were a kid, and do you still love it today? I went from not liking math in elementary school to absolutely loving math in high school 😁 But learning foreign languages captured my heart more than anything. And it still wows me🌺
  3. If the school had a theme song that played every morning, what song would you choose?
“Have It All” by Jason Mraz.  So positive and filling listeners with hope.
“May you get a gold star on your next test
May your educated guesses always be correct
And may you win prizes shining like diamonds
May you really own it each moment to the next”
  1. What is your favorite school tradition or event, and why is it special to you? I love our school concerts a lot. What a beautiful way to celebrate our school community❗️Music makes us all happy♥️
🎉 Burdick Students Celebrate 100 Days of School! 🎉
Last Friday, February 14th, Burdick students marked a huge milestone—100 days of learning, growing, and making memories! In Ms. Lisa’s K4 class, students wrote about what they would be doing in 100 years. Ms. Lisa even gave us a glimpse into the future by showing us what her students will look like by using a photo filter. The results were hilarious!

It’s amazing to see how much our students have accomplished in these first 100 days, and we can’t wait to see all they achieve in the days ahead. Here’s to finishing the school year strong! 💯🎊
🧥 Lost & Found: Now Accepting Adoption Applications! 🥤
Burdick’s Lost & Found has officially reached epic levels. We’ve got water bottles forming their own little community, and enough jackets to outfit an entire soccer team.
If your child has ever come home claiming, “I didn’t lose it!”—trust us, it’s probably here. Come rescue these poor, abandoned items before they start leaving “Help Me” notes. 😂👀
🚍 New “Where’s the Bus?” App – Real-Time Bus Tracking for Families!
Burdick families can now track their child’s bus in real time with the WheresTheBus app! This free app provides up-to-the-minute arrival times, so students and families can wait comfortably indoors—no more guessing or standing outside in bad weather.
📲 How to Access WheresTheBus:
  1. Log in to your Campus Parent (parent portal) account.
  2. Search for WheresTheBus and click the icon.
  3. Download the app from the App Store (iOS/Apple) or Google Play (Android).

Spring Testing
State required testing begins in March, providing an important opportunity to measure student growth and progress. These assessments help us understand where students are excelling and where they may need additional support.
To set them up for success, ensure they get plenty of rest, eat a good breakfast, and come to school ready to do their best. We appreciate your support in helping students stay focused and confident during this time.
