🧦 Staff Spotlight: The Lost & Found Bin 👟
This week’s staff spotlight goes to a true Burdick legend: the Lost & Found. Quiet. Mysterious. Slightly musty. This unsung hero has faithfully collected lonely water bottles, single gloves, and more hats than any rack should ever hold.
From lunchboxes to that hoodie your child swore they never took off, the Lost & Found has seen it all. It doesn’t judge. It just accumulates. But it’s getting a little overwhelmed… and frankly, it’s ready to declutter. Please help it lighten its load!
Stop by by Friday, June 6 to reclaim your missing items. After that, everything will be donated where your favorite sweatshirt might just find a new home.
(Yes, I’m a bin. Yes, I talk now. Don’t question it.)
1. How long have you worked at Burdick?
Since forever. I’ve seen things… like 17 socks missing their other half.
2. What was your favorite subject as a kid and do you still like it?
Recess. That’s when people leave me the best stuff.
3. What would be your school theme song?
“You Belong with Me” by Taylor Swift. Because… you do. Come get your hoodie.
4. What’s your favorite school event?
End of year clean-out! So much attention!
The infamous Burdick Lost and Found in all its glory!
🏃♂️ Burdick at the MPS Track & Field Meet! 🏃♀️
On Thursday, May 29th several of our 5th–8th grade students represented Burdick at the annual MPS Track and Field Meet! Our athletes showed up with great energy, teamwork, and determination—whether they were sprinting, jumping, or cheering each other on from the sidelines. We’re proud of how they competed and carried themselves throughout the day.
