Greetings Burdick Families!
First, I would like to thank all the families who donated snacks to for our teachers to snack on during conferences this evening (3/19). As the old saying goes, “The way to a teacher’s heart is through their belly!” We truly appreciate the generosity.
Read on for some Burdick updates:
- Forward testing is underway! Here are a few things you can do at home to help your child be successful when taking the test:
-
- Make sure they are getting a good night’s sleep.
- Have a nutritious breakfast either at home or at school.
- Offer praise and encouragement for effort, achievement and improvement.
- Share your enthusiasm and interest in reading, mathematics, science, and social studies with your children.
- On Election Day Burdick will be having a bake sale to raise funds for our playground and we need your support! We are looking for donations of either store-bought items or baked goods to sell in the gym to voters on April 2nd. If you are able to, please fill out this Google form Bake Sale Help!!! or contact Mrs. Saltz.
- There is no school for students on Friday, March 22 and Spring Break begins Monday, March 25th through Friday, March 29th. Classes will resume on Monday, April 1st (we promise it’s not an April Fool’s joke).
On behalf of the Burdick staff and students, I want to wish you and your families a restful and relaxing Spring Break. Be safe and we look forward to welcoming you back to school on April 1st.
