Burdick has long been a cornerstone of Milwaukee’s South Side. For generations, families have returned to our school, proud to send their children to the same classrooms they once learned in themselves. That strong sense of community is at the heart of who we are.

Our dedicated staff—many of whom are veteran educators with years of service right here in our building—create a supportive, consistent environment. Students at Burdick feel known, valued, and encouraged to grow. We take great pride in offering not just strong academics, but a full and enriching educational experience.

Our students benefit from a vibrant arts program, including full-time music, art, and physical education. As a proud Department of Education Green Ribbon School, we engage students in environmental learning and sustainability efforts that extend beyond the classroom. Our athletics program also plays an important role in building school spirit, teamwork, and healthy habits.
