This week, we\u2019re shining the spotlight on Ms. Lind, our incredible K4 teacher! You can often hear her singing songs with her students, creating a joyful and engaging classroom. But Ms. Lind\u2019s impact goes beyond just her students\u2014she\u2019s always looking for ways to support both staff and students. As a key member of the Burdick Sunshine Club, Ms. Lind is the one of the masterminds behind all the fun staff celebrations, especially when it comes to birthdays, baby showers and retirement parties. Her positivity and dedication to making Burdick a special place for everyone are truly appreciated! Get to know Ms. Lind a bit better and check out how she answered our questions!<\/div>\n
How long have you worked at Burdick?\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n
This is my 5th school year at Burdick.<\/div>\n
What was your favorite school subject when you were a kid, and do you still love it today?<\/strong><\/div>\n
Math was my favorite subject as a kid, but not geometry. I loved algebra and equations. I still have a passion for math and have recently participated in the strong start math leadership project within MPS. I have introduced many new math practices into my classroom because of this project and love finding the joy in early math routines.<\/div>\n
If the school had a theme song that played every morning, what song would you choose?<\/strong><\/div>\n

What\u2019s your favorite school tradition or event, and why is it special to you?<\/strong><\/div>\n
I love the concerts at Burdick. It is so heartwarming to see our gymnasium packed with families here to support their students and our school.<\/div>\n

We are in need of volunteers and donations for one of our biggest Family-Teacher Team school events of the year-Burdick’s Fall Fest! Fall Conferences are approaching! This is a great opportunity to meet with your child\u2019s teacher to discuss their progress and goals for the school year.<\/div>\n

We\u2019re happy to announce the launch of the Burdick Care Closet\u2014a special resource designed to provide students in need with essential clothing and other care items.
