Volunteers Needed in the Upper Campus Office

 

Our Upper Campus office is in urgent need of morning volunteers to help with daily tasks. Even an hour of your time can make a big difference in keeping things running smoothly.

If you’re available to help, please sign up for a day that works for you. The time slots are suggestions, if you can help during alternative hours, please pick the day and add in the comments what time works or you. Thank you so much for stepping up to support our school community!

We’re excited to share that Bay View Montessori now has its own Sports Swag Store, created in partnership with BVM parent Tija Kinens!!

Families can now order BVM athletic gear directly online at: BVM Sports Swag Store

All orders are placed and paid for through the website (no cash/checks). $1 from every item sold back to BVM Sports!

The Sports Swag team is still finalizing distribution logistics, and details will be shared once all orders are complete.

Gardening Donations Needed

 

Ms. Sarah is seeking new or gently used donations to support gardening and recess playtime for our Primary students (ages 3–6) at the Lower Campus playground. Items needed include:

– Children’s gardening gloves
– Children’s gardening tools

Bay View Montessori’s Upper Elementary Green Team is looking for some donations.

– Garden Clippers (any size)
– Perennials
– Fall bulbs

If you are dividing plants this fall, especially lilies and irises, please drop them off to the Upper Campus. Finally, please consider purchasing some Fall bulbs to donate. Classes can use these flowers for lessons in botany.

Donations can be dropped off at either campus office. Thank you for helping our youngest students learn and play outdoors!

 

Lower Campus Garden Refresh

 

Our Lower Campus garden is getting a beautiful facelift thanks to BVM parent Chad and his team from Melvin Mulch! They began clearing out overgrown weeds on Thursday and are adding fresh mulch to reopen paths and benches. The space is already looking wonderful, and work will continue through the weekend. We are so grateful for this gift to our school community!

 

Parent-Teacher Conferences

 

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Monday, March 13th, and Wednesday, March 15th, from 4:30–8:00 pm at both campuses.

Attn 8th Grade Families: High School Enrollment Information

 

 – During parent teacher conferences, Ms. Bri, our school counselor will host informational sessions for 8th graders and their parents about high school enrollment. Each session will cover the same information and include time for questions. Sessions will take place at 5:00 pm, 6:00 pm, and 7:00 pm on both evenings. Parents are welcome to drop in at the time that works best.

– Your student received a paper copy of the High School Enrollment Guide with important information and a list of upcoming open houses.  As new open houses become available, they will be added to the newsletters.

Honoring the International Day of Remembrance | September 30

 

Bay View Montessori will join schools across the country in observing International Day of Remembrance on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, to honor those who survived and those who did not return home from Indian boarding schools. We invite our staff, students, and families to participate by wearing orange as a symbol of support and remembrance. Our staff will also be engaging with shared resources for personal and professional growth to deepen understanding of this history and its impact.

Fall Childhood Immunization Clinic

 

The City of Milwaukee Health Department is making it easier than ever for kids to get their school-required vaccines. This October, MHD’s neighborhood clinics will host special after school and weekend vaccine events with no appointments needed! Our goal is simple: meet families where they are. These clinics will help reduce barriers and make vaccines convenient for busy parents and kids. Find a clinic that works with your schedule!
