| Wednesday 10/8 is Walk and Roll to School Day |
| BVM is getting ready to move and groove on Walk and Roll to School Day; a fun and active way to kick off your day! You can walk, skip, bike, or skate, join other students as we collectively make our way to school.
If you need to drive, you may park by Tippecanoe Library and walk to Lower Campus, or by the Humboldt Park bandshell and walk to Upper Campus. For those who ride the bus, you’re still part of the fun! After exiting the bus, feel free to walk or jog 2 laps around the playground to earn your token and sticker. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate healthy habits, connect with our school community, and enjoy some fresh air together. We can’t wait to see you there. Let’s walk and roll!
If you are interested in leading a meet up spot or group ride/walk from your neighborhood or can help at either campus to hand out prizes, please contact BVM parent and Cycling Instructor, Jake Newborn at jake.newborn@wisconsinbikefed.org
See this flyer for more details. |

Thank you so much for stepping up to support our school community! |
| A Heartfelt Thank You to Ms. Craig |
| We want to take a moment to offer our sincere thanks to Ms. Craig, who has stepped in for Ms. Hailey with such grace, strength, and calm confidence. From the very first day, she has brought a steady, compassionate presence to the classroom and it hasn’t gone unnoticed. With years of teaching experience and an excellent understanding of Montessori philosophy, Ms. Craig has helped our students ease into the new school year with a sense of trust, rhythm, and purpose. Her background in mindfulness has also added something really special; helping students feel grounded, focused, and connected in a way that’s truly meaningful.
Ms. Craig has supported each student with sensitivity and wisdom, while also guiding the group as a whole with clarity and care. The classroom feels calm, joyful, and alive with learning and that’s a direct reflection of the environment she’s cultivated. We’re incredibly grateful for the way Ms. Craig has stepped in, not just to fill a role, but to truly lead, support, and inspire. Thank you, Ms. Craig, for everything you’re doing to start this school year off so strong. We are lucky to have you. |
| Thank You for Supporting Our Culver’s Dine & Donate! |
| A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Culver’s for our recent Dine & Donate fundraiser! Our Bay View Montessori families completely transformed what is usually a quiet day at the restaurant. Culver’s employees even commented on how different the energy was. It was such a joy to see the excitement on our students’ faces as they spotted friends and teachers outside of school. We are so grateful to all of you who came out to support; it truly made the evening special. Stay tuned for details about our next Dine & Donate event. Our plan is to host one each month, giving families a chance to connect, enjoy good food, and strengthen our community. |
| Marcus Theaters Fundraiser has begun. |
| Our annual Marcus Theatres movie ticket and gift card fundraiser is here! This is a great way to stock up for family outings or holiday gifts, while also supporting Bay View Montessori.
There will be two order deadlines:
Friday, November 3 | Orders submitted by this date will be delivered before Fall Break.
Friday, December 1 | Orders submitted by this date will be delivered before Winter Break.
Order forms are coming home with students, so be sure to check those backpacks! Thank you for helping us make this fundraiser a blockbuster success. |

| School Clubs and Activities |
| New Clubs
– Beginners Crochet Club with Ms. Donna will be on Mondays from 4:10-5:30 at UC. The club is open to 1st thru 8th graders and students will learn the fundamentals of crochet.
– Advanced Crochet Club with Ms. Donna will be Tuesdays from 4:10-5:30 at UC. Approval from Ms. Donna is required to join the advanced group. Students should know how to chain, single, and double crochet. The ability to read a pattern is preferred but not required. This group will be focused on learning new patterns and unique stitches.
Beginners will run from October 27th to January 12th.
Advanced will run from October 28th to January 27th.
Instead of online sign-ups, we’re trying something new to help Upper Campus students take the lead in joining. Flyers with tear-off codes will be posted in the hallways. Students who are interested can take a code home to share with their families. This approach makes sure that the first sign-ups go to the children who are truly eager to participate, and it also gives them a little extra sense of responsibility in managing the process. If your child brings home a Crochet Club code, please follow the instructions on it to complete their registration. Spots are limited, so encourage your child to grab a code only if they’re excited to commit. We can’t wait to see the creativity our students bring to Crochet Club!
– We are thrilled to announce a Book Club just for K3–K5 students and you’re invited to join the fun! The club will meet monthly and each gathering will be filled with joy: listening to a story, singing songs, making a craft, and spending time with friends (and meeting new ones!) Parents will also get the chance to connect with other BVM families while the kids dive into the fun.
First Meeting: Monday, November 10, 2025
Time: 6:00–7:00 PM
Location: Tippecanoe Library
Parent presence is required, and siblings are warmly welcome to join in.
Don’t miss out, sign up today and help us make this the start of something wonderful!

| Bay View Montessori’s Annual Halloween Dance |
| October 31, 2025 | 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Upper Campus
We know there were different perspectives about holding the dance on Halloween itself. After reviewing feedback, we confirmed October 31st as the best option this year due to curriculum plans, the 7th & 8th grade field trip returning on October 23rd, parent feedback, and staff availability to support. Going forward, the Halloween Dance will be held the Friday before Halloween so families can plan ahead with certainty.
Volunteer opportunities are now open!

The next planning meeting will be Tuesday, October 7th, 5:30–6:30pm at the Lower Campus. Anyone interested in supporting the dance is welcome to attend! Bring your ideas and talents. |
| Secondary is in need of newspaper for a project they’re doing while at Upham Woods.
Ms. Sarah is seeking new or gently gardening tools for recess playtime for our Primary students (ages 3–6) at the Lower Campus playground. Thank you to the anonymous donor for the gardening gloves!
Bay View Montessori’s Upper Elementary Green Team is looking for some donations: Garden Clippers (any size), perennials, and fall bulbs.
If you are dividing plants this fall, especially lilies and irises, please drop them off to the Upper Campus. Finally, please consider purchasing some Fall bulbs to donate. Classes can use these flowers for lessons in botany.
Donations can be dropped off at either campus office. Thank you for helping our school community. |
