| Update: Release of Student Information Form |
| Families, please note an important update regarding the Release of Student Information form. In previous years, families were automatically opted out of having student information or images shared unless they completed the form to give permission. This year, the process has changed: students are now automatically opted in unless a parent or guardian opts out by submitting the signed form. This form covers what is known as Directory Data, which may include a student’s name, awards, participation in school activities or sports, and (for athletes) height and weight. It also includes permission for photos and videos taken at school or district events that may appear in MPS publications, on district websites or social media, or shared with news media. If you do not want your child’s information, photos, or schoolwork shared, please complete and return the Release of Student Information form to the office as soon as possible. |
| One Week Until the Halloween Dance!! |
| The countdown is on! Our Annual PTO Halloween Dance is next Friday, October 31 from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at the Upper Campus!
We can’t wait for an evening filled with music, games, crafts, dinner, and sweet treats for the whole family. This year’s dance will feature some spooktacular new additions, including a photo booth, face painting, and of course, our live DJ, Steve Carter, who will be spinning tunes and leading games all night long! Our incredible Student Council will also be helping throughout the evening ; taking photos, running games, and selling food to raise funds for future school projects. Don’t forget, the first hour of the dance is designed especially for younger children, with quieter music and lights on in the gym so everyone feels comfortable joining the fun. The craft room, game room, and cafeterias will be open all evening with dinner, desserts, and prizes galore.
If you haven’t already, there’s still time to sign up to volunteer or pre-purchase tickets to skip the line the night of the event. Every bit of help makes a big difference and our students are absolutely buzzing with excitement!

| Bay View Montessori in the 2025 Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival! |
| Great news! Bay View Montessori has been selected to participate in the 2025 Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival! Each year, organizations from across the city decorate trees in Cathedral Square Park, and this year we’re thrilled to join in the celebration. Our tree’s theme is “Cosmic Community,” a beautiful tribute to the Montessori concept of Cosmic Education, recognizing how every individual plays an important part in the larger universe. Students in the Primary Book Club, Student Council, and Adolescent’s Microeconomy will be creating stellar ornaments to bring our Cosmic Community to life. We can’t wait to see their creativity shine downtown this holiday season!
The craft supplies for the ornaments are sponsored by the BVM PTO.
The 2025 Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival will begin on November 20, 2025 and last through January 1st, 2026. |
