Berean Family Worship Center

Berean pastors and volunteers sponsor Clarke Street School’s eighth-grade graduation banquet. They also host donation drives that provide students with school supplies and personal hygiene items.

Brothers and Sisters in Christ Serving (B.A.S.I.C.S.)

Through prayer, youth events and more, B.A.S.I.C.S. staff provide resources and caring connections in support of Clarke Street School and other city schools and neighborhoods.

Milwaukee Partnership Schools

In 2015, Milwaukee Public Schools, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, and City Year Milwaukee formed an innovative partnership to improve school culture and increase student academic achievement.

A strong school culture begins when students arrive at school on time and excited to learn. Partners work with the social-emotional learning teacher to support a school community that is welcoming and positive. Students learn to develop healthy relationship-building, problem-solving, and mindfulness skills.

Each partner also offers academic support. Academic interventionists are teachers who can coordinate additional learning support that partners and teachers provide to students.

• One-on-one early literacy tutoring to students from K5 through grade three – SPARK
• Small group tutoring in literacy and math to students from third through eighth grade – City Year Milwaukee
• Homework help and academic enrichment activities that continue into after-school programming – Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee

All students access game-based, student-paced math instruction using ST Math during and after school.

This holistic approach aligns school-day and after-school programing, fosters school and partner collaboration in new ways in our district, and defines the Milwaukee Partnership Schools experience at Clarke Street School.
