Partnerships

Craig Montessori School is grateful to our community partners for their ongoing gifts of time, services, resources, creativity, and collaboration.

Arts @ Large

Arts @ Large supports the vision of bringing the arts to schools. In participating schools, students engage in a variety of visual- and performing-arts aligned projects to enhance their educational experience. Students participate in various arts-related activities to nurture their creativity and promote social emotional development. Activities include dance and movement, music, and art class. Artist educators from Arts @ Large provide structure, support, and inspiration to students in our after-school art clubs.

Danceworks, Inc.

Founded in 1992, the mission of Danceworks, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is to enhance joy, health and creativity by engaging the community through dance. Upper elementary students (fifth and sixth grade) participate in Danceworks’ Mad Hot Rhythm, an innovative educational dance program, providing arts and physical education.

Junior Achievement USA

Junior Achievement USA is the nation’s largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. Craig students experience JA programming through Junior Achievement Wisconsin.

One on One Learning

One on One Learning leverages data-driven strategies to improve student performance metrics, such as graduation rates, standardized test scores, and college readiness, effectively demonstrating its impact on critical district goals. One on One Learning is Craig Montessori School’s academic partner through the MPS During-School Tutoring program.

PortFish, Ltd.

PortFish, Ltd is a nonprofit organization formed to address, and raise awareness about, issues and concerns regarding our current and future food supply. PortFish employees shared their time and expertise to help establish our aquaponics system.

SHARP Literacy

SHARP Literacy brings visual arts experiences with professional artists and authors into the classroom and guides students through educational tours. The SHARP Literacy hands-on, visual arts-based approach sparks curiosity and a love of learning. Students develop a deeper understanding of complex vocabulary and build the background knowledge that is so important for reading comprehension.

SHARP Literacy educators bring after-school STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) programming to Craig and raise funds for school beautification projects like our greenhouse murals.

Wisconsin Montessori Association

Established in 2010, the Wisconsin Montessori Association supports teachers, parents and Montessori schools in Wisconsin by advocating and informing stakeholders through professional development, school-wide support services, conferences and parent education and advocacy.
