A Well-Rounded Student Experience
Our school offers a wide range of academic programs, enrichment opportunities, and extracurricular activities. During the school day, students benefit from strong classroom instruction paired with engaging programs like PLTW (Project Lead The Way). Our state-recognized STEM teacher provides hands-on learning opportunities, and students can utilize cutting-edge technology like the 3D printers in our dedicated STEM lab.
The STEM lab is part of a recent school addition that also expanded learning spaces for gym, art, and music. The arts are an important part of the Fairview experience, and our new spaces support creativity, collaboration, and active learning. We encourage students to discover and develop their talents through our art and music programs, which include opportunities for lessons in harp, piano, and orchestra.
Students can also pursue their interests after school by joining our many sports teams and clubs. From crafting (Cricut Club) to communication (Middle Level Forensics Association) to community service (Pay It Forward), we offer something for everyone.
A Commitment to Inclusivity
At Fairview, we believe in meeting the needs of every learner, and we are known for our inclusive approach to education. Students receiving special education services learn alongside their peers in general education classrooms. This helps all children benefit through shared experiences, meaningful relationships, and a strong sense of belonging. Our new, fenced-in tot lot also provides a safe and accessible outdoor space for both younger learners and special education programming.
Family Support and Engagement
As an early-start school, Fairview supports working families by providing after-school care, which is utilized by more than 100 families. Our parents and guardians are highly involved in our school community, and families regularly participate in school events. Annual traditions like our Fall Festival—featuring food trucks and a bounce house—bring the larger community together. Other events, such as school dances, are sometimes so popular that additional opportunities are added to meet demand!
Mission
Fairview School prepares all students to excel in higher education; future careers; and active, responsible citizenship.
