IMPORTANT Safety Information!  Please Read!

Winter is here and the drop off and pick up situation is getting complicated in our very landlocked and very busy school.  This is an issue that comes up every Winter for our building.  At pick-up and drop-off, please be extra mindful of small people walking to get to school and getting out of cars.  Please avoid pick up/ drop off in the bus line and crosswalk area on Falling Heath.  Kids are often navigating snow banks and slippery sidewalks.  Additionally, we have had very crowded street parking.  Cars have gotten swiped in tight spaces and we have had some close calls with kids on foot.  Please be mindful of our shared spaces and parking regulations and do your best to make sure everyone gets to school safely!  Please reach out to Mr. Turner at turneme@milwaukee.k12.wi.us if you have questions.

Soup Night and Bake Sale Fundraiser this FRIDAY!

The Soup and Chili Supper and Social Event is Friday February 2nd. The Fernwood Café will be turned into an all you can eat soup buffet with dozens of soups prepared by your fellow Fernwood families.  Soups will be served from 5:30pm until 7pm and will cost $2 for students and $5 for adults (children 3 & under are free).  Room 250 will also be offering bakery items for $1.  Cash only, exact change appreciated!

There are still some openings available for preparing and serving soup. Those serving in the later session will be provided a spot to keep your soup warm in their crockpot, so they can arrive early and savor the delicious soups from the first session. To show off your soup-making skills, please sign up using this link!  www.mealtrain.com/potlucks/wdg9lq

Announcing Spring Clubs-Enrollment Open!

We’re excited to announce the after school clubs for the 2023-2024 school year. These are in addition to more sports and offers through the Recreation Department. We were able to offer these clubs this year thanks to ESSER II Extracurricular Engagement grants.  Thank you to the following club leaders for their extra efforts this year.

Families please sign up for one club maximum in Spring (including the musical), as the club sizes are small compared to the size of our school. Enrollment will be accepted on a first-come first basis. Thank you for your interest and signing up for only one club per season. You can contact the club leader if you have more questions.

Thanks for your interest in these Clubs!  Most are full at this time.  If you would like to be added to the waitlist please contact the club organizer.
