Parent and family involvement is a proud tradition at Fernwood Montessori School, and we invite you to join our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).

Membership is an easy and effective way to positively impact our school’s culture and climate.

This creative and active family organization meets the first Tuesday of each month, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., to discuss, plan, and implement programs and special events. To learn more about PTO membership, please contact our parent coordinator, Meredith Mertes at genricm@milwaukee.k12.wi.us.

Events

PTO-sponsored family programs and events can strengthen the school-family relationship, which benefits overall student success. The PTO coordinates events year-round that include:

  • Anodyne Coffee Fundraiser
  • Back-to-School Family Picnic
  • Book fairs and teacher meals during parent-teacher conferences
  • Halloween Parade
  • Fernwood Game/Trivia Night
