Our teachers, coaches and parent volunteers take extracurricular activities seriously because they help students explore career interests, develop new talents and skills, and make friends. Students who represent their school out in the community also get a taste of leadership experience and develop stronger school pride!

Boy Scouts of America
Students participating in Boy Scouts of America belong to the youth development organization’s Three Harbors Council, which delivers Scouting programs to 5,000 youth in Milwaukee, Racine, and Kenosha counties. Locally and nationally, the BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.
Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast
Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast is home base for Girls Scouts at Gaenslen School. Through enriching experiences like extraordinary field trips, sports skill-building clinics, community service projects, cultural exchanges, and environmental stewardships, girls grow courageous and strong.

MPS Adaptive Athletics and Special Olympics Wisconsin
A partnership between Milwaukee Public Schools and Special Olympics Wisconsin, MPS Adaptive Athletics provides sports programming to student athletes between the ages of 6 and 21. Committed to the growth and development of young athletes of all abilities and interests, MPS Adaptive Athletics is accessible, competition-based, and inclusive of students with special needs such as autism, hearing impairment, intellectual disability, orthopedic impairment, visual impairment or other health impairment.
