Partnerships

Hayes Bilingual School is grateful to our community partners for their ongoing gifts of time, services, resources, creativity, and collaboration.

Generac

A leading manufacturer of power products, Generac ignites the next generation of innovators by supporting education and STEM efforts in southeastern Wisconsin and beyond. Hayes Bilingual School is honored to welcome Generac to our network of STEM sponsors in 2023, including Generac employee volunteers who join us for service days, mentoring connections, and more.

Molson Coors

Molson Coors Beverage Company is a global leader in the brewing and beverage industries whose Milwaukee-based employees are neighbors and partners to Hayes Bilingual School. Milwaukee Brewery employees donate their time and expertise to our students as STEM mentors and literacy and math tutors. Molson Coors corporate philanthropy also supports our school’s STEM programming.

Reflo

Annually, Reflo works with partners including Milwaukee Public Schools, the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, the City of Milwaukee, the Fund for Lake Michigan, Community Design Solutions and others to support Milwaukee-area schools in an intensive, collaborative process to design and then redevelop greener, healthier schoolyards. Hayes Bilingual School’s redeveloped schoolyard opened in 2022. Each redevelopment project is tailored to the specific needs and enthusiasm of the school’s community but often involves replacing seas of asphalt with green infrastructure including bioswales, rain gardens, and trees as well as outdoor classrooms, improved recreational facilities and arts opportunities. Designs go beyond removing pavement to maximize benefits for communities, the environment, and local economy.

Urban Ecology Center

The Neighborhood Environmental Education Project (NEEP) engages classes through field trips to local green spaces that enrich the classroom curriculum. Urban Ecology Center educators engage students through hands-on activities, indoors and outdoors. Students may learn about local habitats, identifying plants, finding signs of animal life, or building forts with classmates! Rain or shine, snow or wind, every trip has a portion outdoors and engaging for all students and parent chaperones. Urban Ecology Center has outerwear available to borrow so all participants may explore in any weather. There are three Urban Ecology Center locations; most schools partner with one less than two miles from their school.

Women’s Fund of Greater Milwaukee

Milwaukee’s only bilingual STEM program for girls has a home at Hayes Bilingual School, where girls in grades two through eight explore engineering careers, connect with female mentors, and participate in hands-on STEM projects. We are grateful to the Women’s Fund of Greater Milwaukee for their generous support of Cientificas at Hayes Bilingual School.
