Open from 2:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on school days, the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center at Holmes School<\/em> is an after-school enrichment program for K4 through eighth-grade students.<\/p>\nThe Holmes Community Learning Center is led by three partners:<\/p>\n

Every Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center<\/em> offers a healthy snack or light dinner, and supervised, structured academic enrichment opportunities that reinforce what students are learning in school.<\/p>\n

Fees<\/h2>\n
Milwaukee Public Schools\u2019 21st CCLC programs may charge nominal program fees. The inability to pay fees or to receive Wisconsin Shares authorization cannot be a barrier to participation for students.<\/p>\n

All Milwaukee Public Schools community learning centers are funded by\u202fNita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center federal grant funds<\/a>\u202fthrough a grant agreement with the\u202fWisconsin Department of Public Instruction<\/a>. The federal\u202f Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended by No Child Left Behind, Title IV, Part B, fund all 21st Century Community Learning Center grants.<\/p>\n
Registration<\/h2>\n
Registration forms are available at the school\u2019s 21st CCLC site and must be submitted to the site coordinator. Additional forms may be required as part of the registration process.<\/p>\n
