Progress reports are sent home to parents and guardians, and conferences are used regularly to discuss student progress and behavior. Teachers and staff are happy to help families with extra meetings or reports, and families are encouraged to set up a time to come in, visit their child\u2019s classroom, and meet with their teacher. We would love to see you join your child at school events and activities as well!<\/p>\n
Monthly meetings of the Family Leadership Organization (FLO) promote family engagement. These meetings are an important way to get involved at Hopkins Lloyd, ensuring that parents and family members can participate in discussion and decision-making that puts our students\u2019 needs first.<\/p>\n

Call the school office at (414) 267-0600 to find out how to contact your child\u2019s teacher. <\/span><\/p>\n At home, have a quiet time and place for homework. Your child has access at home to the same online programs they use in class. Have your student log in through\u202fClever<\/a>\u202fto find the programs they use, such as Smarty Ants, My Path, Discovery Education, Flocabulary, and others.<\/p>\n Attending parent-teacher conferences shows your child how much you support them. If your child\u2019s scheduled conference time does not work for you, contact the teacher to choose a time to visit your student\u2019s classroom, talk about their progress, and share ways to help your child learn.<\/p>\n Be sure to check your student\u2019s backpack every day for homework and important school messages. Teachers and staff regularly send home reports to monitor and ensure each student\u2019s progress. Attendance<\/h2>\r\nAttendance is very important at Hopkins Lloyd Community School. Please make sure that your child(ren) are at school, on time, every day. The school day starts at 7:35am and ends at 2:20 pm. If your child(ren) will be absent, please make sure to let the office know by calling (414) 267-0600. Reports are sent home to parents and conferences are scheduled regularly to assess each student\u2019s progress. Staff will honor parental requests for additional conferences, meetings or reports at any time.\r\n
Classroom Assistance\/Volunteering<\/h2>\r\nHopkins Lloyd Community School understands the connection between family support and student success; therefore, we are committed to involving families in their child\u2019s education. Parents and guardians are encouraged to come to Hopkins Lloyd and assist teachers in their classrooms. This allows children to combine support from home with support at school, making for positive results.\r\n\r\nWe have very active parent volunteers.
