Our 300 students pursue high academic standards in Spanish and English that prepare them for high school, college, career, and more. In our campus engineering laboratory and library, students grow as globally minded thinkers and problem solvers.<\/p>\n
Bilingual educators plan engaging lessons in all subjects, integrating technology and traditional learning experiences into our Two-Way Dual Language Program: literature, song, homework, and field trips. Educators and families collaborate to support students\u2019 academic, social, and emotional growth. Students can receive on-site, individualized special education and learning support to reach grade-level benchmarks in math, Spanish, and English literacy.<\/p>\n
Learning is focused and fun at Kagel School. Art, music, and physical education classes are an outlet for creativity, helping students become confident artists and team builders. Students learn about making healthy choices for lifelong well-being. Our redeveloped schoolyard opens in fall 2025. Plans include an outdoor classroom, new athletic surfaces and play structures, gardens, and greenery. In this safe and serene space, students can develop their talents and abilities beyond the classroom\u2014and grow herbs and vegetables.<\/p>\n

Lowey 21st Community Learning Center at Kagel School provides an after-school program<\/a> to K4 through eighth-grade students in partnership with Milwaukee Recreation and Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee. The Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center at Kagel School provides academic enrichment, homework help, social-emotional learning, arts programming, and nutritious meals or snacks for students.<\/p>\n Since 2009, the School Community Partnership for Mental Health (SCPMH) has provided intensive, on-site mental wellness programs and mental health services to students and families in Milwaukee Public Schools.
