Teaching since: 2003. I was also a Special Education Assistant from 1993-2003.

Degree(s)/Certification(s): Early Childhood Education degree. Certifications in Early Elementary (PreK-grade 3) and Early Childhood Special Education (birth – age 8)

Favorite teaching experiences: I truly enjoy looking at where the children start with their skills in the fall and seeing how much they have grown by the end of the school year. Always a favorite are all the smiles and hugs and being with children when they have “aha” moments.

Why I like teaching at Dr. King: I appreciate the challenge and excitement of working with children and being around so many staff that genuinely care about the success of our children.

Fun fact: I love being outside enjoying and learning about nature. I spend a lot of my time out side of school walking and doing volunteer trail work especially on The Ice Age National Scenic Trail (and the Appalachian Trail in the summer).
