Partnerships

Richard Kluge Elementary School of the Arts partners with community organizations to provide students with enriching opportunities that support their growth both in and out of the classroom.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee

With safe places to learn and play, positive role models, and educational programming, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee has helped local kids and teens thrive since 1887. Today, they provide before- and after-school enrichment in partnership with the school and Milwaukee Recreation through the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center at Kluge. The center provides K4 through fifth-grade students with a healthy snack or light dinner and supervised, structured academic enrichment opportunities that reinforce what students learn during the school day.

Kluge is a member of City Year Milwaukee’s Early Literacy League. At Kluge, our robust City Year team provides data-driven interventions and support for our students, with one member in every K–2 classroom to help with foundational literacy skills. The team also runs the City Year Jr. program to promote student leadership.
