Students can grow as gardeners, athletes, and leaders when they join extracurricular clubs and teams at Lowell International Elementary School.
Parents and caregivers, please join us in encouraging your child’s participation. Ask our parent coordinator or your child’s classroom teacher for sign-up and schedule information.
Athletics
The Lowell Dolphins are fourth- and fifth-grade student-athletes competing in three co-ed sports: basketball, soccer, and volleyball.
Green Team
The Green Team works on projects that reduce our school’s carbon footprint, including reviewing ideas and raising funds for a new schoolyard. A partnership with environmental education nonprofit Reflo, our redeveloped schoolyard will open in 2027. Fourth- and fifth-grade team members will help care for new trees, gardens, and native plantings contributing to a greener, healthier Lowell schoolyard.
Playworks Junior Coach Leadership Program
Fourth and fifth graders work with a dedicated Playworks Wisconsin coach to learn games, understand group dynamics, and practice positive conflict-resolution skills. As junior coaches, they can share new strategies and skills with classmates during recess. Training includes a monthly meeting and field trip.
