MacDowell Montessori School is fortunate to have a dedicated parent coordinator on staff to answer questions about parent engagement, family events, and school resources. Familiarize yourself with simple Montessori-at-home practices<\/a>. Your child\u2019s school library or parent resource center may have other Montessori parenting resources that you can explore.<\/p>\n At home, your child can easily access the same online programs they use in class. PTO<\/h2>\nMacDowell Montessori\u2019s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 5:30. The PTO plans and coordinates special events for the entire school and organizes fundraising opportunities. More information about the PTO can be found here<\/a>.\n
Parent Volunteers<\/h2>\nParents and guardians are encouraged to volunteer by providing literacy or math tutoring, work\u00a0in the\u00a0school library,\u00a0\u00a0assist teachers with material making, and\u00a0organize school events in order to help the MacDowell Montessori staff complete tasks more efficiently. In addition, adult chaperones are often needed for field trips.\n\nWe appreciate and are extremely grateful for the wonderful parents who offer generous donations of their time and energy to making MacDowell Montessori such a great place. Conference discussions include updates on individual student strengths and triumphs as well as areas for improvement.\n\nPlease plan to attend MacDowell Montessori\u2019s parent-teacher conferences. Your participation is integral to your child\u2019s current and future academic achievement and progress.
