Milwaukee Marshall High School is a vibrant, multicultural learning community located on the northwest side of Milwaukee. With a diverse student body at its core, Marshall is committed to developing creative thinkers, self-directed learners, effective communicators, and responsible citizens who value lifelong learning.

As a career and technical education (CTE) school, we foster meaningful, real-world learning through our NAF Academies and partnerships with local organizations. These connections provide valuable on-site experiences that help students explore career pathways while building professional skills. Marshall is also one of only two MPS high schools to offer the innovative 3DE program, which connects classroom learning to real business challenges, preparing students for success after graduation.
Marshall’s strong academic focus includes STEM education and college preparation, with Advanced Placement courses and dual enrollment opportunities so students can earn college credits while still in high school. We also offer flexible pathways to success, including an alternative education program that allows some students to graduate in as little as 3.5 years and gain valuable work experience during their senior year.
Beyond academics, Marshall fosters student engagement through offerings like Drumline, which showcases school spirit, creativity, and teamwork. Our robust athletics program and extracurricular activities allow students to get more involved and explore their individual interests after school as well.

Our History: Who Was John Marshall?
John James Marshall (September 24, 1755 – July 6, 1835) was the fourth Chief Justice of the United States (1801–1835). His court opinions helped lay the basis for American constitutional law and made the Supreme Court of the United States a coequal branch of government along with the legislative and executive branches. Previously, Marshall had been a leader of the federalist Party in Virginia and served in the United States House of Representatives from 1799 to 1800. He also was Secretary of State under President John Adams from 1800 to 1801.
