Choir gives students the opportunity to develop their vocal talents and perform a variety of musical styles. Students build confidence, teamwork, and artistic expression through rehearsals and performances.

Cooking Club teaches students essential culinary skills, from preparing meals to understanding nutrition and kitchen safety. Students explore creativity through food while learning skills they can use for life.

Girls of Color provides a supportive space for students to connect, grow, and empower one another. Through discussions, activities, and mentorship, members build confidence, leadership, and a strong sense of identity.

Poetry and Spoken Word Club provides a creative outlet for students to express themselves through writing and performance. Members build confidence, storytelling skills, and a sense of community through sharing their voices.

Praise Dance offers students an opportunity to combine their faith with artistic expression. Dancers practice lyrical, ballet, or modern techniques with worship music and perform for our school community.

Yearbook Club is a creative and collaborative group where students work together to capture the spirit and memories of the school year. Members take on a variety of roles—including photography, writing, design, and editing—as they plan, organize, and produce the school’s official yearbook.

HOSA prepares students for careers in healthcare through hands-on learning, competitions, and leadership opportunities. Members explore medical fields while building professional skills and participating in service projects.

SkillsUSA empowers students to develop technical, workplace, and leadership skills for career success. Through competitions and collaborative projects, students gain real-world experience in trade and technical fields.

Student Senate gives students a voice in school decision-making and event planning. Members develop leadership, communication, and teamwork skills while representing their peers.

Student Council consists of elected student representatives from each class, as well as executive officers who represent the entire student body. This group is a means for students to engage in school and community affairs. It provides opportunities for students to improve their leadership skills and strengthen student and community relations. Members help plan and facilitate schoolwide initiatives and events.

The Student Growth Committee empowers students to take an active role in shaping a positive school culture and improving climate and discipline. Members meet monthly, research schoolwide issues, and collaborate with peers across the district at Student Leadership Summits. They present recommendations to school and district leadership to drive meaningful change.

The Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council (SSAC) connects students with MPS leadership to share their perspectives and ideas. SSAC participants develop leadership skills while helping shape decisions that impact schools across the district.
