At MGIS, German isn’t taught — it’s experienced.

Our early immersion approach supports bilingualism for all learners.

German First

MGIS students are taught almost all subjects in German, including math, science, and social studies, and exceed expectations in all subjects.

Family Engagement

Families are vital to our community, playing an active role in shaping our school and ensuring every student’s success.

Exceeding Expectations

Our students Exceed Expectations on our school’s state report card, earning four stars (out of a maximum five stars).

Leading Language Learners Since 1977

We made history as Wisconsin’s first language immersion program. We build on this legacy by educating young learners and leaders who will thrive. Our students read, write, and speak German (and English) fluently when they complete our immersion program in fifth grade.
