German Immersion Foundation
The German Immersion Foundation (GIF) supports the Milwaukee German Immersion School and the Milwaukee School of Languages (MSL) by providing additional resources to fully fund programs needed to prepare children to excel in the competitive global marketplace. Girl Scouts of the USA
Through programs from coast to coast, Girl Scouts of all backgrounds and abilities can be unapologetically themselves as they discover their strengths and rise to meet new challenges. Backed by trusted adult volunteers, mentors, and millions of alums, Girl Scouts lead the way as they find their voices and make changes that affect the issues most important to them. Girl Scouts of the USA regional partner, Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast, is the home base for our parent-led Girl Scout troops.
Junior Achievement USA
Junior Achievement USA is the nation’s largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. Junior Achievement’s programs in the core content areas of work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy ignite the spark in young people to experience and realize the opportunities and realities of work and life in the 21st century. MGIS students participate in Junior Achievement programming through Junior Achievement of Wisconsin.
PASCH
A global network of 2,000 schools worldwide that place a high value on German, the Pasch initiative was founded by the Federal Foreign Office in cooperation with the Central Agency for Schools Abroad (ZfA). Other founders include the Goethe-Institut, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Educational Exchange Service (PAD) of the Secretariat of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany. MGIS has been a Pasch partner school since 2016.
Reflo
Reflo works with partners including MPS, Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, City of Milwaukee, Fund for Lake Michigan, and Community Design Solutions to support area schools in an intensive, collaborative process to design and redevelop greener, healthier schoolyards. Projects are tailored to the specific needs and enthusiasm of the school. Designs go beyond removing pavement to maximize benefits for communities, the environment, and local economy. MGIS and Reflo celebrated the opening of our redeveloped schoolyard in 2023.
Scouting America
Scouting America is chartered by Congress to serve our nation’s youth by instilling the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Scouting America aims to prepare young people for lives of impact and purpose. MGIS parents and caregivers lead Cub Scouts troops in several grades.
