Jade Charon Robertson, artist

MHSA Class of 2007 | Art Area: Dance

Jade Charon Robertson is an artist, choreographer, filmmaker, and dance educator who teaches at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn, NY. As a filmmaker, her films have been shown at the Milwaukee Film Festival, Montreal Independent Film Festival, and Toronto International Women’s Film Festival. Watch her TEDxUCLA talk about using dance as a ministry.

Quintin Ferbie Gulledge, producer

MHSA Class of 2012 | Art Area: Music

Quintin Ferbie Gulledge is a Grammy nominee who performed with Kendrick Lamar and Usher and produced for Lizzo. He also co-produced six songs on Ella Mai’s debut platinum album.

Britney Freeman-Farr, also known as B~Free, is an R&B singer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. She released her own albums and opened for Janelle Monáe.

Kelly McCreary is best known for her recurring role as Dr. Maggie Pierce on Grey’s Anatomy. She has appeared on Broadway, in TV shows like Scandal and White Collar, and in a number of productions by playwright Dominique Morriseau.

Jacob Pfeiffer is a realist oil painter whose paintings have been exhibited in museum shows and galleries. His work was featured in American Arts Quarterly, Art News, and The Artist’s Magazine, as well as on the covers of American Artist, Southwest Art, and American Art Collector.

Angie Swan, musician

MHSA Class of 2000 | Art Area: Music

Angie Swan is a Grammy nominee who has toured with CeeLo Green, Cirque du Soleil, Fifth Harmony, will.i.am, and many others. She played guitar on Broadway and in the film adaptation of David Byrne’s American Utopia. She was interviewed by Milwaukee Magazine and offered advice to young musicians looking for their big break: “Don’t be afraid to make mistakes … a setback is merely a set up for a comeback. Keep an open mind.”

Kyle Taylor Parker, Broadway performer

MHSA Class of 2008 | Art Area: Theatre & Film

Kyle Taylor Parker performed on Broadway in Kinky Boots and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He starred on the national tours of In the Heights and Pretty Woman, and he also appeared in Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert on NBC alongside John Legend and Sara Bareilles.
