Morse Middle School for the Gifted and Talented is honored to announce that Dr. Enock Yeng, has been designated as a 2026 Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Teacher Fellow. This elite distinction is conferred upon educators who demonstrate an exhaustive commitment to pedagogy, sophisticated leadership, and a transformative impact on student achievement. The competitive nature of this award underscores its immense prestige: Dr. Yeng was selected from a statewide pool of candidates to become one of the 100 Teacher Fellows recognized this year. Within a professional landscape of over 100,000 educators across Wisconsin, this fellowship places Dr. Yeng in the highest tier of the state’s instructional leaders.
As a distinguished scholar holding a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in curriculum design, Dr. Yeng brings a high level of theoretical expertise to his instructional practice. His sterling career, spanning over a decade of teaching and leadership, is characterized by the development of rigorous, inquiry-based instruction that challenges and inspires our students. His selection as a Kohl Fellow recognizes his superior ability to cultivate an environment of intellectual curiosity and his role as a catalyst for positive change within the academic community.
The significance of this award is further underscored by the substantial resources it provides to both the educator and the institution. In recognition of Dr. Yeng’s professional contributions, the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation has awarded a $6,000 grant to Dr. Yeng, along with a matching $6,000 grant to Morse Middle School. These funds are dedicated to the continued pursuit of instructional innovation and the enhancement of the specialized curriculum required for our gifted and talented scholars.
Milwaukee Public Schools and the faculty of Morse Middle School celebrate Dr. Yeng for this remarkable milestone. His selection by the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, and the Wisconsin Newspaper Association Foundation serves as a testament to his profound impact on the field of education and his unwavering dedication to the success of his students.
