The IB is a global leader in international education \u2014 developing inquiring, knowledgeable, confident, and caring young people. Their programmes empower school-aged students to take ownership in their own learning and help them develop future-ready skills to make a difference and thrive in a world that changes fast.\u00a0Morse Middle School is an IB-authorized provider of the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP).<\/p>\n
Junior Achievement USA is the nation\u2019s largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. Junior Achievement\u2019s programs in work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy ignite the spark in young people to experience and realize the opportunities and realities of work and life in the 21st century.\u00a0Scholars participate in Junior Achievement programming through Junior Achievement of Wisconsin.\u202f\u202f\u202f\u202f<\/p>\n
Annually, Reflo works with partners including Milwaukee Public Schools, the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, the City of Milwaukee, the Fund for Lake Michigan, Community Design Solutions, and others to support five Milwaukee-area schools in an intensive, collaborative process to design and then redevelop greener, healthier schoolyards.\u202fMorse Middle School for the Gifted and Talented and Milwaukee Sign Language School share a redeveloped schoolyard, which opened in 2024.<\/p>\n
Each redevelopment project is tailored to the specific needs and enthusiasm of the school\u2019s community but often involves replacing seas of asphalt with green infrastructure including bioswales, rain gardens, and trees as well as outdoor classrooms, improved recreational facilities, and arts opportunities. Designs go beyond removing pavement to maximize benefits for communities, the environment, and local economy.\u202f<\/p>\n
The vision of the Urban Ecology Center is to inspire generations to build environmental curiosity, understanding, and respect, restoring hope and healing our urban natural world, neighborhood by neighborhood.\u202fScholars engage in field-research experiences at the Urban Ecology Center.\u202f<\/p>\n
The\u202fVerizon Innovative Learning\u202fprogram is helping millions of students thrive with access to tech, tools and free skills training. Locally, Verizon Innovative Learning partners with Milwaukee Public Schools to promote digital inclusion and help prepare students for today\u2019s digital economy. With the goal to fundamentally change the way teachers teach and students learn, Verizon Innovative Learning is giving students hands-on experiences with emerging technologies.\u00a0Our Verizon Innovative Learning Lab is a gift from Verizon, in partnership with Heart of America and the J. Orin Edson Entrepreneurship + Innovation Institute at Arizona State University.<\/p>\n
