Community Engagement Meeting on the Topic of School Safety

Director Leonard, in collaboration with the District Advisory Council, is hosting a community meeting focused on the topic of school safety. The goal of this meeting is to bring the community together to identify barriers, propose solutions, and share perspectives on strategies to address school safety.

Date: Tuesday, December 10th, 2024

Time: 6:30 p.m. or immediately following the adjournment of the meeting of the Committee on Parent and Community Engagement.

Location: Central Services Building, Room 103, 5225 W. Vliet Street, Milwaukee, WI 53208

Meeting Format: The meeting will follow a workshop model with groups of 4-5 participants at each table.

Attendees will discuss the following questions:

What brought you here tonight?
What barriers to school safety have you witnessed or encountered?
What solutions do you think would make a difference in schools?
What else haven’t we considered?
Duration: The meeting is expected to last 90 minutes.

Who Should Attend: Parents, guardians, caretakers, community members, and staff are invited and encouraged to participate.
