  • Sister-Sista Members, please return signed permission slips and 5 dollars to an advisor by next week Wednesday (Feb.12). You can also place them in Ms. Hamdan’s mailbox. If you have lost your permission slip, please see Ms. Hamdan in Rm 222.
  • It’s time to announce our Students and Staff of the Month from January! Starting with our staff member of the month, shoutouts to nominees Ms. O’Neil, Mr. Wells, and Mr. Setum, and congratulations to our staff member of the month, Mr. McAdams! Mr. McAdams always has his students’ backs, and goes out of his way to make sure other staff members are feeling great! Now for high school. Shoutouts to nominees Bodie Weeks, Ximena Valencia, and Faylin Schweitzer, and congratulations to our high school student of the month Malik Fall! Malik collaborates with other students to go beyond just passing, and he takes responsibility for missing work or class. Finally, shoutout to middle school nominees Robert Ramos, Brandon Joseph, and Dylan Sholta, and congratulations to our middle school student of the month, Kamari Freeman! Kamari has taken the lead not only in class but in the Girls of Color group and really embodies a mentor role with the other members. Be sure to shoutout students and staff on our shoutout boards and nominate them in February!
  • A big congratulations to Mayouel Viviano for her acceptance to not only UW-Madison but also for passing her audition into the School of Music Program. Congratulations Mayouel, we are Hawk Proud of you!
  • Congratulations to the girls’ basketball team for their impressive win over King this Saturday beating them by a score of 68-46. Leading the way was Savanna Davis with 36 points, 5 assist’s, 6 rebounds. Also having another dominating game was Senior All-Star Amonya Pampuch-Buck with 24 points,13 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. The team has been on an amazing win streak going 11-3 in the last 14 games. Please congratulate the players for all the hard work they put in the season. Also, please come out to support the team as we look forward to making a deep run in the city and WIAA tournament. Thanks Coach Huven
  • The Wisconsin High School Climbing League hosted its third competition of the season this past Saturday at MSL’s home gym, Adventure Rock Walkers Point. Thomas Pahl, Victoria Manger, Spencer Hensersky, Shayth Masri, and Andrew Domena all put forth strong performances, but we want to give special shout outs to Victoria for finishing second in the D1 Female category and Spencer for placing fifth in D3 Male. Great job to all who climbed for making us Hawk Proud!!
