Student-athletes proudly compete as the Milwaukee School of Languages Hawks.
Experienced to brand-new student-athletes are welcome on Hawks teams in nearly one dozen sports.
Middle School Athletics
Students in grades six through eight complete a simple, single-form registration process. Please watch for information from your child’s classroom teacher or contact our physical education specialist teacher/middle school athletics director Amelia Nelson (nelsonak@milwaukee.k12.wi.us).
High School Athletics
The MSL Hawks compete from the fall season (practices may begin as early as August) into spring (sub-sectional and sectional competitions may extend into late May). Students may participate in one sport per season. Reach out to our athletics director, Robert Slavens, at slavenr@milwaukee.k12.wi.us with any questions.
Student-athletes are expected to attend practice every day and stay on top of academics. Students should notify their coach ahead of time if they cannot make a practice.
