414LIFE
414LIFE is a community- and hospital-based violence intervention program that provides resources for at-risk youth. Community advocates build relationships with students, promote violence prevention, and help ensure safe dismissals. They visit regularly to connect with students and provide ongoing support both at school and in the community.
Amatrol
Amatrol provides career and technical education (CTE) training solutions. They offer CTE curriculum and support for our teachers.
Ascension Smart Smiles
Ascension Smart Smiles is the largest provider of school-based dental care in Wisconsin. The Smart Smiles program specializes in preventative care for children of all ages. Smart Smiles professionals make twice-yearly visits to Barack Obama SCTE, providing students in grades K5 through five with free education and exams, fluoride treatments, sealants, and more.
Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s Networks for School Improvement (NSI) initiative helps middle and high schools boost graduation and college success rates. NSI provides monetary support to purchase supplies, fund student experiences, and more.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee
With safe places to learn and play, positive role models, and educational programming, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee has helped local kids and teens thrive since 1887. Today, they provide after-school enrichment in partnership with the school and Milwaukee Recreation through the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center at Barack Obama SCTE. The center provides K4 through 12th-grade students with a healthy snack or light dinner and supervised, structured academic enrichment opportunities that reinforce what students learn during the school day.
Hands of 10ve Foundation
Run by Green Bay Packers quarterback, Jordan Love, Hands of 10ve Foundation aims to inspire and empower children from all backgrounds to engage in sports. The foundation promotes physical well-being and provides football equipment for our team.
James Place
James Place is a community resource of Elmbrook Church with five locations and volunteers from all over Milwaukee. One of these locations is at Barack Obama SCTE. James Place offers a peaceful environment where students and staff can come for encouragement and social-emotional support. Volunteers provide tutoring during the school day, assist in classrooms, and help coordinate volunteer initiatives and support for school events.
Johnson Controls
Johnson Controls is a global leader in thermal management, building systems, energy efficiency, and decarbonization. At Barack Obama SCTE, they fund our HVAC lab.
LAB Midwest
LAB Midwest builds programs, equips labs, and delivers high-quality science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and skilled trades education. At Barack Obama SCTE, they provide CTE equipment, such as our robotics equipment.
Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC)
MATC is a two-year institution that offers more than 170 degree, diploma, and certificate programs. MATC has numerous transfer partners, including pathways through guaranteed admission agreements with four-year colleges and universities. MATC offers dual enrollment courses to MPS students through Start College Now, MATC Transcripted Credits, and the M3 (M-Cubed) College Connections program.
MATC is one of three lead partners of the M3 initiative (M-Cubed). Along with Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), this collaboration is dedicated to transforming the future of Milwaukee through education. M3 offers the College Connections Program, which allows MPS students to earn high school and college credit at the same time through dual enrollment courses at MATC and UWM.
One on One Learning
One on One Learning provides tutoring at Barack Obama SCTE. They use data to improve student performance, such as graduation rates, standardized test scores, and college readiness.
Our Daily Bread Community Outreach Center, Inc.
Our Daily Bread is a community organization dedicated to education, healthcare, and more. They hold a monthly mentoring group, Precious Pearls, for female students at our school.
Salvation Army
The Salvation Army supports Barack Obama SCTE families by providing essential resources and supplies. Donations include backpacks, clothing, and other items that help students and families succeed.
SkillsUSA
SkillsUSA is the #1 workforce development organization for students. They empower students to become skilled professionals, career-ready leaders, and responsible community members. The organization offers resources and tools for running our SkillsUSA chapter.
University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee (UWM)
UWM provides affordable, world-class education to 23,000 students from 86 countries. The university is one of three lead partners of the M3 initiative (M-Cubed). UWM also hosts the TRIO & PRE-College program, preparing MPS students for academic and career success before and beyond graduation day.
