Research shows that parental involvement is associated with improved student achievement and other positive outcomes. Here are a few reasons to be involved in your child\u2019s education:<\/p>\n

  1. Juniors and seniors whose parents remain involved maintain the quality of their work, develop realistic plans for their future, and successfully transition to life after high school. On the other hand, students whose parents are not involved are more likely to drop out of school.<\/li>\n
  2. Student achievement is higher\u2014regardless of socioeconomic status, ethnic\/racial background, or parental education levels. Students have higher grades and test scores, better attendance, and more consistent homework completion.<\/li>\n
  3. Graduation rates are higher, and more students enroll in post-secondary education.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The best way to support your student is to develop a working relationship with their teachers, keep up with what is happening at school, and participate in school events (such as parent-teacher conferences).<\/p>\n
