Mr. Vallejo has always enjoyed figuring things out on his own and learning how things worked, from taking apart the family VCR as a child to rebuilding classic cars as a teen. Vehicles were his passion, so he attended Pulaski High School for their automotive program, graduating in 2007. Through the school, he was able to start his career in the automotive industry, where he became a certified technician at a General Motors dealership for ten years. Throughout those years, Mr. Vallejo stayed in contact with Pulaski and mentored students pursuing careers in the automotive industry. The combination of mentoring young people and working with vehicles led him to become an Automotive Instructor, which he felt was the ideal career choice.

This is Mr. Vallejo’s sixth year teaching at Pulaski High School, and he has loved every moment of it. This year, he will be teaching Engine Repair, Vehicle Diagnosis and Repair, Engine Performance, and Steering and Suspension. One of the greatest joys of being an automotive instructor for him is knowing that he is helping students gain the skills for a promising career.

Outside of school, Mr. Vallejo is a husband and a father of two amazing children. He enjoys spending time with friends, bike riding, and building or remodeling projects. He looks forward to getting to know each of his students this year and can’t wait to see what the school year brings.
